Our Story
We are two brothers from Seattle, Washington who, oddly enough, got into artisan leather making by way of theater. We both grew up dancing and acting in school plays, and continued pursuing our shared passion for the performing arts as adults. It was at a local theater production that we were first asked to make a leather product- an animal mask. We had no idea what we were doing, but someone had to take on the task, and we were up for the challenge.
What started it all
What started as a few leather masks for one show turned into a small scale business making masks and other leather props for theater and dance companies in the Seattle area. Both my brother and I enjoyed working with leather and thought that we would explore other avenues of leather making, which eventually lead us to bondage gear. We liked the specific craftsmanship and attention to detail required to make fine bondage products, but we also saw a need for higher quality bondage gear in the market. We took our best shot at filling that gap, and the ensuing journey lead us here. We still love what we do to this day.
Our aim has always been and continues to be to produce artisan bondage gear using the finest leather available, with a focus on durability and comfort. We have come a long way as craftsmen from the early days of making leather masks, and we see our production process as an ever-evolving entity. We strive to be the best in the market, and we work hard to improve our product every year so that our clients feel that they are wearing something truly special. Something hand crafted, comfortable and exquisite.
About Dr Leather Mr hide's Bondage Gear
When you want the best of the best – an exclusive handmade piece of art – look no further than Dr Leather Mr Hide. We listened to what you want and created unique, ultra comfortable and stylish bondage gear. We gave you lots of attachment points so you can get creative with your BDSM play. We added a rolling buckle. Our cuffs and Collars are padded so the wearer will find wearing them for extended periods is comfortable. The padding is held in place with a silky soft liner that’s hand stitched with heavy duty thread that will last as long as the collar. We specifically stitch the lining on by hand so that we can use this thick, waxed thread that will last much longer than what a sewing machine can offer.
